<text>This article intends to analyze the “escraches” (public protests) performed by female students in virtual environments against gender-based violence that they suffered from male young people, mostly school partners. The methodology used is based on a qualitative approach. We examined 70 denouncements published in 10 different Instagram accounts that were created by young female people attending high school in Buenos Aires City. We found out a grammar of “escraches”, that is to say, a way of recounting violence situations in which female students make subjective reflections related to the place, the manners and the reasons of what they have experienced and felt. We identified four axes that structure this grammar. In first place, we mention the kind of relation that female students had with the boys that committed violence against them and the context. In second place, we describe how the violence situations took place. Afterwards, we examine the sensations and emotions that young women experienced and the explanations or justifications they made. In fourth place, the subjective reflections about the limits between consent and abuse, in relation to the violence situations they lived, are analysed. Finally, we outline the arguments concerning why they decided to tell what they have lived and, in almost all cases, also denounced the names of the young boys that have behaved and interacted violently towards them. We conclude that young female high school students have found in the practice of cyber denouncement a way to give visibility and denaturalize daily violent behaviours and interactions.</text>

<text>In this article we propose to analyze the practice of soccer  as a key for the reconstruction of masculinities in the Physical Education lessons, in a middle-class secondary school in the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina). We wonder how the practice of this sport contribute to the transition of certain right and wrong ways to be male. We opted for a qualitative methodology or non-standard and for a study case. The research techniques used are participant observation, in-depth semi-structured interviews and documents analysis. We have found that teachers in the Physical Education lessons transmit certain right and wrong ways to be male by means of language the use. The students themselves, also contribute to this process. Thus, heteronormativity is perceived, the use of offensive language (reproducing certain values historically attributed to men) and the derogatory comparison with women. We reach to the conclusion that sports, soccer in this case, can be thought as male initiation ritual.</text>

<text>In recent decades, conflicts over access to land in Latin America in general, and in Argentina in particular, have deepened. Even more particularly, in the province of Córdoba the struggles for the territory have become central, as the production mode is based on commodities and financial-real estate speculation that excludes large sectors of society from access to land. From the year 2011 it began to develop in Córdoba, Argentina, diverse experiences of occupation of land that account for the struggle for the territory. In this research we have focused on the occupation of Cura Vasco for the purpose of investigating what type of territory is configured in the context of this conflict. The territory is produced at the intersection between devices of power and strategies of the subjects in struggle. From the content analysis of 13 in-depth interviews developed during 2014-2015, we have inquired about the configuration of the conflict from its origins in 2011. Thus, we have found that the main device that operates there is the political-administrative as a part of the state that aims to discipline the claims and methods of struggle. Faced with this device, the neighbors oppose the articulation with institutions as a strategy. The territory that is configured is characterized by being intervened; for the control of social relations and organizational processes in order to reproduce statehood and dilute the social conflict.</text>

<text>This work presents the development of the idea of vocation, linked to the desire and the imaginary, which expresses itself as a response of meaning that, in its historical-social context, the subject offers itself to the question: what is the place of my task in the link with the others? The development of this theme arises from the questioning about the transformation of the idea of vocation and its tensions, based on the conclusions of two investigations already completed. The methodological strategy included antecedents of the idea of vocation from the Greek Philosophy, the discussion of Max Weber about the vocation and the profession; it is placed in the Mexican context and with biographical data of three outstanding characters, the analysis and conclusions based on the Freudian notion of Desire; the Imaginary, the Social-Historical and the notion of Desire of Cornelius Castoriadis. Finally, it is proposed that the vocation is not the crystallized representation of an unattainable design, but that it involves the “vital impulse” that the desire potentiates to construct a response of meaning that the subject offers itself and that the vocational choice is not a task of the subject isolated, but a process that involves others, giving shape to the imaginary matter with which it is possible to build life projects.</text>

<text>In this work we made a systematization of the approach experience, during 2016, between groups of two institutions: a university and a teacher training institution. The purpose was to contribute to the construction of a pedagogical proposal for teacher training that incorporates knowledge built from the academy about the social and educational history of Santiago del Estero, detected as absent contents in the teaching training curricula. Such process consisted in retaking the information recorded during the meetings, formulating from it, questions-guides aimed at questioning this experience in order to constitute possible problematic axes and articulations. In this sense, we analyze the following axes: a) the need to incorporate a local and provincial history into teaching; b) the decision to merge both chairs to recover an integrating vision of the contents; c) the incorporation of a narrative-biographical perspective in teaching; d) the Speaking, Reading and Writing in Science and e) the reflection that gave rise to this experience as an instance of ongoing training for teachers and research scholars. This experience had as a horizon to start producing teaching materials whose first approach is this exercise of systematization.</text>

<text>In November 2013, the priest Juan Carlos Molina was appointed as head of the Secretary of Programmes for Prevention of Drug Addiction and Fight against Drug Trafficking. (SEDRONAR, according to the Spanish initial letters). His administration, which lasted until June 2015, coincided with an intense increase in the public visibility of the secretary in accordance with the growth of its budget and expansion of the payroll of officials. The aim of this article is to approach to Molina’s prior trajectory and administration style with special emphasis on the role played by the figure of the State Ministry of Social Development of that moment, Alicia Kirchner (2003-2005/2006-2015). The premise of work is that this personal and ideological link allowed the priest to obtain the necessary experience for his arrival at SEDRONAR, while he was collaborating in the construction of a specific modality of exercising state administration. The analysis of this process allowed us to reflect on the way in which social networks produce porosities between the State and civil society, on the other hand, revitalize the transmission of skills and ways of performing the public function.</text>

<text>The current tendency to subjectivization of spiritual beliefs leads to a continuous process of recomposition resulting in the emergence of unique types of religious modernities. Within the framework of this accentuated religious pluralism and attending to the transformation of vital projects, experiences are traced around the religious/spiritual to recover elements of the underlying imaginary component, which are revealed through stories. This article explores the religious/spiritual beliefs of elderly people in relation to death. The methodological design of qualitative research is based on the analysis of stories from an interpretative biographical framework. The different ways in which people reflect on the idea of the finiteness of life and the modalities for dealing with it are analyzed. The belief in immortality and the possibility of communication with their deceased, showed how from the intervention of different mediations and reception structures, an individual spiritual trajectory is set in motion and the construction of their particular fantastic everyday life.</text>

<text>This work aims not only to reconstruct the essential principles of classical utilitarianism with respect to its metric proposal of distribution of goods, but also to present some critical references on this proposal.Indeed, utilitarianism, as a philosophical doctrine, is presented not only as a consequentialist and welfare suggestion but also as a distributive proposal that proclaims general happiness as a basic principle. Its theoretical statements and promises of simple application make it an attractive doctrine to think about the distribution of social goods. However, and for these reasons, it is possible to ask ourselves: is utilitarianism an impracticable distributive metric? In order to answer this, it will be presented, in the first place, to classical utilitarianism in its general principles. This will allow us to understand their distributive proposal of social goods. From here we can indicate some objections that have arisen from other theoretical proposals referring to the distributive metric of social goods. John Rawls, Amartya Sen, Will Kymlicka and Luciano Venezia will be these theorists. Thus we can not only think about the distributive metric of utilitarianism within a detailed analysis that rescues and indicates some of its own shortcomings but also indicate other possible distributional proposals of social goods.</text>

<text>Health care constitutes an inescapable dimension of all experience of illness. From philosophy, Michel Foucault has investigated this notion in relation to otherness, highlighting the subjective nature of links as a support of care, expressed as ethics. The relational mood is thus consistent with a gender perspective that seeks to understand and question the traditional social, cultural and economic allocation of care responsibilities attributed primarily to women.Based on a study on the experience of women with breast cancer, the dimension of care is revisited, considering in this gendered experience the problem of alterity and how it participates in the care dynamics of the subject subjects. In methodological terms, an analysis of narratives is made from the perspective of biographical spaces.Among the results, it can be highlighted that self-care should not be attributed to the same illness condition or taken for granted in women’s narratives. It is used as a political instance, in which recognition and empowerment are essential elements for its exercise. This aspect calls for discussing the relevant role of care as an expression of autonomy and equity in health. It is concluded that caring for oneself is an expression of certain inequalities that still persist, in more complex frameworks, in which the place of affectivity and family relationships participate in an inseparable way.</text>

<text>Stories in education are usually told ignoring a pedagogical, epistemological and political reflection of the senses they imply in our daily lives. From our doctoral research,  focused on the stories about the Argentine secondary school diploma in the first half of the twentieth century and the differences that are highlighted from a narrative approach to the experience of the Colegio Nacional of Mar del Plata (between 1914 and 1940), we investigate the need to (re)institute other stories in education. Associated to the variability of institutional projects, the pedagogical experimentation, the diversity of educational trajectories and the recognition of other subjects commonly absent in the stories of this formation. Finally such considerations collaborate in discussing the nostalgic glances wich are lacking of possibilities of action of the subjects that characterize the stories about this formation.</text>

<text>The role played by religious and spiritual dimensions as agents in the recovery of substance dependence has been understudied. However, the approaches that incorporate these dimensions have a long history in the field of addictions. This paper analyses the treatment programs of two religious therapeutic communities that belong to international networks and have headquarters in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (Argentina), and their links with the characteristics of the conversion process they promote among the residents. The research was qualitative and consisted of a multiple case study. For the construction of the empirical evidence, interviews were conducted with managers, mentors, residents and former residents of both institutions. In a complementary way, participant observations were carried out in different activities that they organize. In both institutions, the therapeutic program and the rehabilitation are inseparable from the main dimension of the transformations they seek to introduce: the religious conversion of the residents.</text>

<text>This article aims at giving an account of the way in which party militants carry out their political construction, understood as the strategy that the militant carries out in order to access the spaces for decision making and power, investigating the strategies developed by the militants to achieve public esteem, and the way in which they try to maintain an autonomy of the political parties of reference in the moment to build their political ties. The discussion about political construction, in most cases, is subject to the capacity of political parties to achieve high electoral performance; that is, it would be determined by the structural conditions of the participation spaces. In this sense, this article concludes that political construction should not necessarily be associated with an institutional process of the party, but rather as a militant strategy from which they create ties with the aim of achieving a certain degree of public esteem. that position the militants in a higher status and guarantee their survival beyond the structural conditions of the partyFor this work we will analyze the trajectories of two militants of traditional political parties of Jujuy, taking up the career perspective proposed by Howard Becker, who considers the trajectory as a model of ordered sequences of social behavior, considering the objective and subjective aspects. Methodologically, we chose to work with in-depth interviews based on the life story technique.</text>

<text>Exclusive breastfeeding until 6 months, and complementary breastfeeding through the second year of life have been identified as highly effective prevention interventions to reduce infant mortality. While breastfeeding is increasing in Latin America, diverse factors, such as education and access to health care services are associated with lower signs of improvement in breastfeeding practices. In this study we examined the relationship between sociodemographic factors and breastfeeding practices in a population of mothers who participate in maternal and infant health programs of the public health system in four provinces of northwest Argentina. A transversal retrospective design was utilized applying a questionnaire to measure demographic characteristics, the presence of symptoms of depression and anxiety, and breastfeeding practices. In multivariate analyses being a stay-at-home mom or a student was positively associated with breastfeeding initiation, while reporting symptoms of anxiety had a negative association. Symptoms of depression increased the probability of breastfeeding for the first 6 months of an infant’s life. Mothers younger than 30 years of age and who identified as Indigenous or Indigenous and European showed higher probability of continuing breastfeeding up until 12 months or more. The probability of exclusively breastfeeding was lower in mothers with symptoms of depression. Examining adherence or deviation from breastfeeding recommendations can guide interventions that promote optimal breastfeeding practices. In our sample, ethnicity and the role of problematic mental health symptomology in breastfeeding practices emerge as factors that merit further study. The results highlight the importance of the development of holistic inquiries in which not only informative or educational aspects are considered but also social support mechanisms for women that confront particular limitations.</text>

<text>Since the conceptualization of Formative as a long-term concept (Korstanje 2005), a frame of reference is granted that allows an approach to the social actors, their choices, and their daily life. In general terms in formative lithic assemblages non-local obsidian is registered mostly in small stemmed projectile points. This does not happen with the lithic material from those moments in Puesto Viejo, Quebrada de Los Corrales, in Tucumán, where there is almost no presence of obsidian and the projectile points are made of quartz and its design seems to be a continuity of ancient ones. Objects are used to negotiate different relationships in different interaction networks by interlacing and linking diverse social and ecological landscapes. In this sense, the circulation of material culture creates networks that have an influence in the construction of identities, in addition to expanding spatial scales and generating connections and social relations between spaces and distant subjects. From the analysis of the lithic assemblage of Puesto Viejo, we reflect on these issues and some hypotheses that can account for this materiality in its historical context are proposed. Results aim to think that observed patterns in lithic material would not be the result of geographic isolation but would respond to social patterns related to identity and/ or territoriality, since there is no doubt about the evidence of interactions with other areas of the NOA even from other materialities.</text>
