<text>Curriculum Design in the province of Salta (2012), as well as others in the country, considers language to be a social practice. Therefore, the linguistic system should be studied in relation to its usage, i.e. working with language being used. However, the document does not provide clear didactic guidelines on how to link these two dimensions. In addition, its contents show a structuralist approach whose objectiveis the analysis of isolated linguistic elements. This type of analysis also appears in textbooks and other materials designed for teaching language in middle school. Proposals for addressing grammar are not integrated into the analysis of texts and, consequently, grammatical contents appear out of context. In this sense, the Cognitive Prototype Approach (CPA) can be considered as a possible alternative. For this model, explanations of the linguistic structure must not only be biologically and psychologically possible, but also have correspondences with real language use and natural contexts of social interaction. In this paper, there is a brief review of the role of grammar according to the Design, as well as the analysis of some proposals for teaching grammar collected in textbooks and other documents. Finally, we present the CPA as a possibility for teaching grammar in secondary school.</text>

<text>The aim of this paper is to critically review the axis"Oral Comprehensionand Production" in the subject Language and Literature. This subject is within the first year of the Basic Cycle of Secondary Education in the Curriculum Design of the Province of Jujuy, socialized in the provincial education sector in 2019. In addition, the recommendations to teachers expressed in this same document in the sections: "Presentation," "Purposes," and "Capabilities" will be taken into account. To critically approach this selected input, we will deepen the theoretical reflection on fundamentalconcepts from Language Acquisition, Linguistics, Pragmatics -among other language sciences -, Psychology, and Didactics, since this network of epistemological knowledge will provide a significant support to rethink the dimension of orality. Regarding thestudy of orality, we will turn to bibliographies that, while accounting for research carried out in diverse fields such as university, rural areas, or primary oral communities, provide relevant knowledge to understand the processes of oral acquisition in secondary school. The contributions of Dr. Viviana Cárdenas, Walter Ong, and Maite Alvarado will be of great importance as a linguistic basis of primary and secondary orality knowledge in relation to Language Didactics. We will also take into account the work of Dr. Constanza Padilla, who researched and constructed knowledge about the oral production of students from different educational levels in relation to exposition and argumentation. It is intended that the reflection on the selected axis of the Curriculum Design becomes a contribution to colleagues to better understand the processes of learning orality; to be able to look at themselves in their teaching role and also at their students in situated shared interaction, and thus improve their educational practices.</text>

<text>The analysis presented in this article is located in theNorth of Potosí (Bolivia), specifically in the city of Llallagua. In this urban area, two groups of indigenous people have built their homes: the sikuyas and the chullpas. In this study, we only focus on the former. This indigenous group has been gradually settling down in Llallagua since around 2009. Their installation in the city has been marked by social conflicts related to their language use. Thus, the purpose of this work is to analyze the sikuyas' discursive practices linked to their access to urbanareas. Through an ethnographic approach, we were able to observe that many sikuyas make their linguistic actions and practices visible for different purposes, and power relationships are still present in their discourse: city dwellers appear as usurpers of land and carriers of colonial relationships. The ethnic category "indio" is still used to maintain hierarchical relationships between city dwellers and sikuyas. Despite these disagreements, this indigenous group has not given up their interest in accessing the city. Holding onto their ethnic identity, they attempt to interculturalize urban spaces. To analyze and understand these social and linguistic dynamics, we draw on theories such as discourse analysis and internal migration.</text>

<text>This article discusses the historical approach to teaching Spanish in Latin America based on some insights developed in the course Historyof Language, a subject of the Language Teaching and Bachelor’s degrees at the National University of Tucumán. The historical language is approached as a discursive practice, bringing into discussion the linguistic configurations, not only as a system of signs but also as an ideological construct that sets the world in a range of power relations (Raiter, 1999; van Dijk, 1999, 2000; Charaudeau, 2009). Thus, this proposal emphasizes these power relations in terms of sameness and alterity (Levinas([1977] 2020) with the aim of taking up these postulates and problematizing university teaching practices in the history of Spanish. We argue that the history of a language is shaped by the counterpoint between the context of enunciation and the political and ideological dynamics that come into play in a community of speakers when producing speech, and these aspects are crucial when historicizing Spanish as a language crossed by colonial and domination processes. We trace a journey through a set of historical documentsand literary texts in which power relations sustained in alterity give thickness to processes of linguistic change.</text>
