<text>Abstract : This thesis addresses the processes of newsworthiness in Salta's transmedia journalism, based on a case study of the QuePasaSalta (QPS) media outlet, an ecosystem that includes social platforms and analog spaces.
Que Pasa Salta (QPS) is one of the digital portals with the widest reach in terms of visits and interaction in the province of Salta, in northwestern Argentina.
The hypothesis defended by this work is that the success of the digital media outlet Que Pasa Salta is based on the implementation of a transmedia strategy with high user participation, a hyper-localization/Salta-fication of global digital
newsmaking processes, and technological and organizational innovation.
We understand that Que Pasa Salta operates within a media ecology, that is, with adaptive strategies that show the transformations between the intervening actors.
At the same time, the outlet exemplifies the shift of so-called "serious" newspapers towards a sensationalist style, with highly focused topics related to entertainment, sports, and viral news, and the use of clickbaiting headline strategies.
We fundamentally understand that these and other informative content strategies are operational to the entire device of viralization, impressions, and clicks linked to a new news production process and an early adaptive strategy to the new challenges in the digital ecosystem.</text>
