Since the emergence of E. Kant’s critical philosophy, several currents boast this description. Leaving this extraordinary deployment aside, the main aim of this contribution is to highlight some recent features and twists of critical thinking in the region. The starting point is the return of democratic governments in the 1980s, particularly the “case” of Argentina. In an attempt to reveal some profound meanings of the developments of philosophy and social sciences, the internal as well as some external factors of philosophy are explained, as they affected the academic and cultural agenda of the time. Thenceforth, the noticeable effects upon the development of thought is explained by considering together the events and situations which effectively brought about a historical change. The propositional section of the contribution starts with the question about the official “oblivion” of Philosophy of Liberation, and the secondary placement given to the chairs and researchers of Latinamerican philosophy, as well as the necessary drift of these studies towards the decolonial and intercultural forms of philosophy and social sciences, which are blooming today, despite the academic and political difficulties which they must face daily.</text>

<text>The purpose of this paper is to re-examine the Saussurean notion of linguistic sign, based on the association between signifier and signified. Such reflection has been enhanced by the discovery of Saussure’s manuscripts in his family home in Geneva in 1996.It is interesting to re-discuss the double conceptualizations as regards the sign. On the one hand, it is considered as a closed unit in the Course of General Linguistics, but the negativity that is at the basis of the relations between signifiers and meanings enables a principle of contextuality that has been emphasized by François Rastier. On the other hand, the linguistic sign is the result of a process of abstraction and decontextualization that cuts it off from its material base. However, prosody, voice and sounds impose themselves and shape the meaning in a communicative situation.</text>

Sin embargo, la prosodia, la voz y los sonidos se imponen y conforman el sentido en una situación comunicativa.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this paper is to re-examine the Saussurean notion of linguistic sign, based on the association between signifier and signified. If you want to form a critical citizenry and prepared to make decisions on scientific-technological issues, you should change the view on the Nature of Science (NdC) that the Teaching Training College has. One of the perspectives that are in agreement with this objective is the denominated Science, Technology and Society (STS). In this article I try to offer ideas on this topic by addressing different aspects and mention the obstacles and difficulties that are found to modify the vision of teachers. Educating for sustainability is a challenge, and in order to achieve this we should stop teaching decontextualized concepts, instead using examples of everyday life; it would be necessary to include socio-scientific questions in the lessons so that the student did not believe that the science and the people who construct it are neutral. As a proposal, I briefly present the project "Education of scientific, technological and critical thinking skills through the teaching of science and technology." Finally, I am referring to gender issues, such as the underrepresentation of women in the scientific sector, as there is still a significant vertical segregation in the sector, and I believe that the gender perspective must be taken into account to rethink pedagogically scientific education and technological.</text>

<text>This article explores the spread of criollismo during the gestation process and the first years of operation of the Museum of Popular Argentine Motives José Hernández. We believe that the institution is a significant window to analyze the continuity of the gaucho as a national symbol. At the same time, it explores how the gaucho evocations were articulated with the indigenous cultural manifestations that were forming a hybrid profile for the new museum. For the investigation, we have consulted all the publications of the bulletin of the museum together with the internal memories and the journals of the Argentine Folkloric Association. In addition, we worked on the particular file of Carlos Daws, the traditionalist linked to the two mentioned institutions whose collection would become the central patrimony of the museum.</text>

<text>This paper sets up an organizational analysis of the Justicialist Party (PJ-Partido Justicialista) from the province of Córdoba between 1988 and 1998. The study will intertwine contributions from organizational theory of political parties with a detailed historical tracking on the political events within the PJ, to analyze data that was surveyed from local and national press and interviews with party leaders. The analysis will focus on the conflicts over the control of organizational resources during the period as well as on the mechanisms through which the different sub coalitions tried to settle the internal competition. Last, the analysis will highlight the events that made a ruling coalition possible in 1998 through the control of party organization strategical areas by José Manuel De la Sota, by that time president of the Local Justicialist Party Council and candidate for Governor.</text>

At the same time, we will seek to relate the changes that are generated between the local indigenous organizations in these frontiers from the frameworks of implementation of the public policies implemented in the territory. For this we will focus on the analysis of the policies implemented in Pampa del Indio by the Institute of Aboriginal Chaqueño and the Institute of Colonization, both dependents of the province of Chaco and agencies such as the World Bank. In this sense, we will analyse how these policies generate symbolic and territorial frontiers that affect the indigenous communities and as these communities resignify such interventions to visible their territorial and cultural claims.</text>

<text>Martin Burber, in his book Paths in Utopia, defines it as an “image of what has to be” and classifies its different ways of presentation as a dichotomy.  He separates the religious ones (revelation) to the philosophical (ideas) and, at the same time, he distinguishes within each group, those of a prophetic characteristic - whose updating depends on men - from the apocalyptic ones - which will necessarily happen following an unchanging plan. He places Marxism within the apocalyptic philosophical utopias.  In this work it is brought into question the inclusion of Karl Marx in the group given by Buber, accepting the undeniable presence of utopianism but emphasizing the prophetic components in his thinking. Controversy is supported on issues which have been taken from interpreting a wide bibliographical corpus - made up by books, collected letters, articles, notes and political comments - which show the density of the philosophy of history that breaks both temporary homogeneity as the lineal course towards a predesigned aim from the centrality granted to a praxis category.</text>

<text>Since the conceptualization of Formative as a long-term concept (Korstanje 2005), a frame of reference is granted that allows an approach to the social actors, their choices, and their daily life. In general terms in formative lithic assemblages non-local obsidian is registered mostly in small stemmed projectile points. This does not happen with the lithic material from those moments in Puesto Viejo, Quebrada de Los Corrales, in Tucumán, where there is almost no presence of obsidian and the projectile points are made of quartz and its design seems to be a continuity of ancient ones. Objects are used to negotiate different relationships in different interaction networks by interlacing and linking diverse social and ecological landscapes. In this sense, the circulation of material culture creates networks that have an influence in the construction of identities, in addition to expanding spatial scales and generating connections and social relations between spaces and distant subjects. From the analysis of the lithic assemblage of Puesto Viejo, we reflect on these issues and some hypotheses that can account for this materiality in its historical context are proposed. Results aim to think that observed patterns in lithic material would not be the result of geographic isolation but would respond to social patterns related to identity and/ or territoriality, since there is no doubt about the evidence of interactions with other areas of the NOA even from other materialities.</text>

<text>Exclusive breastfeeding until 6 months, and complementary breastfeeding through the second year of life have been identified as highly effective prevention interventions to reduce infant mortality. While breastfeeding is increasing in Latin America, diverse factors, such as education and access to health care services are associated with lower signs of improvement in breastfeeding practices. In this study we examined the relationship between sociodemographic factors and breastfeeding practices in a population of mothers who participate in maternal and infant health programs of the public health system in four provinces of northwest Argentina. A transversal retrospective design was utilized applying a questionnaire to measure demographic characteristics, the presence of symptoms of depression and anxiety, and breastfeeding practices. In multivariate analyses being a stay-at-home mom or a student was positively associated with breastfeeding initiation, while reporting symptoms of anxiety had a negative association. Symptoms of depression increased the probability of breastfeeding for the first 6 months of an infant’s life. Mothers younger than 30 years of age and who identified as Indigenous or Indigenous and European showed higher probability of continuing breastfeeding up until 12 months or more. The probability of exclusively breastfeeding was lower in mothers with symptoms of depression. Examining adherence or deviation from breastfeeding recommendations can guide interventions that promote optimal breastfeeding practices. In our sample, ethnicity and the role of problematic mental health symptomology in breastfeeding practices emerge as factors that merit further study. The results highlight the importance of the development of holistic inquiries in which not only informative or educational aspects are considered but also social support mechanisms for women that confront particular limitations.</text>

In this sense, this article concludes that political construction should not necessarily be associated with an institutional process of the party, but rather as a militant strategy from which they create ties with the aim of achieving a certain degree of public esteem. that position the militants in a higher status and guarantee their survival beyond the structural conditions of the partyFor this work we will analyze the trajectories of two militants of traditional political parties of Jujuy, taking up the career perspective proposed by Howard Becker, who considers the trajectory as a model of ordered sequences of social behavior, considering the objective and subjective aspects. Methodologically, we chose to work with in-depth interviews based on the life story technique.</text>
