APORTES A LA ARQUEOLOGIA DE TILCARA (PCIA. DE JUJUY) EN RELACION A OBSERVACIONES EFECTUADAS POR ERIC BOMAN

CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE ARCHAEOLOGY OF TILCARA (PCIA. JUJUY) WITH REFERENCE TO OBSERVATIONS MADE BY ERIC BOMAN

El presente artículo discute la presencia de piezas cerámicas correspondientes al estilo yavi resultantes de una observación efectuada por Eric Boman a principios de siglo en la zona del trazado férreo de Tilcara. Los contextos funerarios citados por este investigador podrían corresponder al momento designado como Período Medio, del cual no existe hasta el momento información contextual en el sector céntrico del poblado. Se plantea a modo de hipótesis la posibilidad de identificar una ocupación del tipo La Isla en el casco urbano, a través del estudio de piezas alfareras y de observaciones referidas a la dinámica social del área.

This article deals with the presence of ceramics of yavi style resulting from an observartion made by Eric Boman near the railway station in Tilcara. Inhumations mentioned by this investigador could be assigned to Middle Period, taking into account the absence of contextual information about this period in the village. It considers as an hypothesis the possibility to identify La Isla occupationsin the city centre through the study of ceramics and observations made about the social dynamic of the area.
