Título

Towards a model of memes analysis based on images macro: Pragmatics, polyphony and intertextuality

The objective of this article is to present a proposal for an analysis model of image macro memes. From the revision of theoretical perspectives such as the image pragmatics by Pericot, enunciation by Benveniste, enunciative polyphony by Ducrot and transtextuality by Genette, the analysis was applied to a meme that integrates two other memes widely disseminated on social media. It is concluded that a meme of image macro is a digital visual content with an iconic-linguistic structure, has a story and a possible world due to its pragmatic dimension, contains a polyphonic discourse particularly humorous and is an example of intertextuality where different levels of relationship between texts are present.
