El concepto de poder en Protágoras de Abdera: desde el diálogo platónico y a través de la obra de José Solana Dueso

This article explores the notion of power in the context of the sophist Protagoras through a hermeneutic approach. The analysis begins with the work of José Solana Dueso, taking as a starting point his work “The Path of the Agora”. The research focuses on investigating Protagoras’ conception of power from the preserved fragments of the sophist where the dialogue “Protagoras” of Plato’s work and his version of the myth of Prometheus takes on special importance. Specifically, it explores how the notions of techne, kairos, aidos and dike contribute to the construction of his idea of power, his apology for democracy and the social origin of political virtue (arete politike) based on a situation of equality between men.

Este artículo aborda a partir de un método hermenéutico la noción de poder en el contexto del sofista Protágoras. Se parte desde el autor José Solana Dueso, tomando como punto de partida su obra “El camino del ágora”. La investigación se centra en indagar la concepción de poder de Protágoras a partir de los fragmentos conservados del sofista donde cobra especial importancia el diálogo “Protágoras” de la obra de Platón y su versión del mito de Prometeo. Específicamente, se explora cómo las nociones de techne, kairos, aidos y dike contribuyen a la construcción de su idea de poder, su apología a la democracia y el origen social de la virtud política (arete politike) partiendo de una situación de igualdad entre los hombres.
