This study examines Access to Public Information (AIP) in Paraguay, highlighting its relevance for transparency and governmental accountability. The main objective was to analyze data from the AIP portal between 2018 and 2020, using a quantitative approach and a descriptive correlational design based on secondary sources. The results show that the Executive Branch responded to an average of 3,783.6 requests within the established deadline, making it the most efficient in terms of responses. In contrast, Municipalities had the highest average number of unanswered requests, with 430.6, while the Legislative and Judicial Branches recorded no unanswered requests. The study also reveals the geographical distribution of requests, with the Central department leading with an annual average of 2,995 requests, followed by Alto Paraná, Paraguarí, and other departments. The departments with the fewest requests were Alto Paraguay, Caazapá, and Boquerón. This variability suggests higher demand for access to public information in certain regions, indicating a need to improve the dissemination and accessibility of this right in less active areas. In conclusion, access to public information in Paraguay shows disparities both in institutional response efficiency and in the regional distribution of requests. The Executive Branch stood out for its efficiency, while Municipalities faced significant challenges. Additionally, requests are concentrated in Central and Alto Paraná, reflecting greater awareness or demand in these areas, in contrast with lower activity in other departments. The study emphasizes the importance of strengthening the promotion of access to public information and improving institutional response capacity, especially in regions with lower levels of activity.
