LOS ANTROPOMORFOS Y ZOOMORFOS DEL CONJUNTO TRES DE EL FILO DE LA LOMA LARGA, SAN CARLOS, SALTA

HUMAN AND ANIMAL FIGURES ENGRAVING IN THE EL FILO DE LA LOMA LARGA, SAN CARLOS, SALTA

El objetivo de este trabajo es describir las representaciones de figuras humanas y de animales registradas en el conjunto tres del sitio de arte rupestre conocido como el Filo de la Loma Larga, en la localidad de Matancillas Chico, en el Valle Calchaquí, dentro del departamento de San Carlos, en la provincia de Salta. Varios afloramientos rocosos situados sobre una loma perteneciente a las últimas estribaciones de las Sierras de Quilmes fueron usados como soporte para la realización de los grabados. Los motivos representados son mayoritariamente figurativos, destacándose las escenas con antropomorfos en actitudes dinámicas, llevando tocados cefálicos y diversos objetos en las manos. Algunas figuras parecieran estar cubiertos con pieles de animales, otras sostener a niños. Por su parte, los zoomorfos representados son en su mayoría camélidos, seguidos por aves (suris y lechuzas) y reptiles (lagartijas, ofidios y tortugas).

The aim of this papper is to present the representations of human and animals figures that form part of the third group of the Filo de la Loma Larga site, in Matancillas Chico, Calchaqui valley, Departement of San Carlos, Salta. Several superficial rocks located on the last slopes of the Sierras de Quilmes were used for the execution of the engraved representations. The motifs that were presented are mostly figuratives, specially human figures integrating scenes, in dynamic attitudes, with cephalic ornaments, masks and carrying objects. Some of them seems to be covered with animal skins and others are carrying a child in their hands. There are numerous representations of camelids and also others animals as birds (suris and owls) and different reptiles (small lizards, snakes and turtles).
