The Concept of Solidarity in Enrique Dussel’s Thought as Resistance to Hegemonic Practices

El concepto de solidaridad en Enrique Dussel como resistencia a las prácticas hegemónicas

The following study deals with the philosophy of Enrique Dussel. Through his reading of Levinas, this thinker proposes moving beyond the modern notion of fraternity toward a solidarity with the enemies of the system. The category of solidarity guides this paper in its effort to promote an authentically alterative politics, one that is moved by the suffering of the radical enemy and moves toward him in search of mutual liberation.

El siguiente estudio trata sobre la filosofía de Enrique Dussel. Este pensador, mediante la lectura de Levinas, propone superar la noción moderna de fraternidad desde una solidaridad con los enemigos del sistema. La categoría de solidaridad es la que guía este escrito en su afán de promover una política auténticamente alterativa que se conmueve ante el sufrimiento del enemigo radical, y se mueve hacia él en busca de la liberación mutua.
