PERSPECTIVES ON POVERTY IN ARGENTINA

MIRADAS SOBRE LA POBREZA EN ARGENTINA

In order to show the continuity of poverty studies in the country and the complexity of its approaches, we present in this article different perspectives developed in some of the numerous researches on the subject, highlighting their contributions to the understanding of the relational and multidimensional poverty, from different quantitative and/or qualitative approaches.

Con el objetivo de mostrar la continuidad de los estudios de pobreza en el país y la complejidad de sus enfoques, en este artículo presentaremos diferentes perspectivas desarrolladas en algunas de las numerosas investigaciones realizadas sobre el tema, destacando sus aportes a la comprensión del carácter relacional y multidimensional de la pobreza, desde diferentes abordajes cuantitativos y/o cualitativos.ABSTRACTIn order to show the continuity of poverty studies in the country and the complexity of its approaches, we present in this article different perspectives developed in some of the numerous researches on the subject, highlighting their contributions to the understanding of the relational and multidimensional poverty, from different quantitative and/or qualitative approaches.Keywords: poverty, quantitative and qualitative approaches.
