Materia
Descripción
This article covers the evolution that has taken place since the conceptof cultural industry, as it was theorized by Adorno and Horkheimer in the yearsimmediately following the second world war, until what we are here callingimaginary macrostructure: understanding by that term, the vast exercise parallelto the phenomenon of economic globalization operated by global capitalism inthe context of the social imaginary (Castoriadis) today current, in virtue of whichthis imaginary tends to be occupied by a few global brands - not necessarilyo commercial nature - expanding and replace each other without solution ofcontinuity, giving rise to the liquid nature (Bauman), so it corresponds to thisimaginary.
Elpresente artículo abarca la evolución que ha tenido lugar desde el concepto de industria cultural, tal como fue teorizado por Adorno y Horkheimer en los años inmediatamente posteriores a la segunda guerra mundial, hasta lo que aquí estamos denominando macroestructura imaginaria: entendiendo por dicho término, el vasto ejercicio paralelo al fenómeno de globalización económica operado por el capitalismo global en el marco del imaginario social (Castoriadis) hoy vigente, en virtud del cual dicho imaginario tiende a ser ocupado por unas marcas globales -no necesariamente de índole comercial- que se expanden y sustituyen unas a otras sin solución de continuidad, dando lugar a la naturaleza líquida (Bauman), así que corresponde a este imaginario.ABSTRACTThis article covers the evolution that has taken place since the concept of cultural industry, as it was theorized by Adorno and Horkheimer in the years immediately following the second world war, until what we are here calling imaginary macrostructure: understanding by that term, the vast exercise parallel to the phenomenon of economic globalization operated by global capitalism in the context of the social imaginary (Castoriadis) today current, in virtue of which this imaginary tends to be occupied by a few global brands - not necessarily o commercial nature - expanding and replace each other without solution of continuity, giving rise to the liquid nature (Bauman), so it corresponds to this imaginary. Keywords: social imaginary, creative industries, cultural industries, cultural industry, imaginary macrostructure.
