The Body: A Place to Inhabit

El cuerpo: un lugar para habitar

The aim of this paper is to communicate an elaboration developed from an interdisciplinary meeting whose central axis of reflection was the “body”.
We understand the body as a place of resonance for all the subject’s experiences, which become meaningfully inscribed throughout life. These inscriptions are expressed through bodily language, which may be approached from the perspective of health and/or illness.
From a state of helplessness and undifferentiation at birth, the human infant follows a path involving countless affective-bodily operations that gradually allow them to inhabit their own body, to settle there, and ultimately to be able to dwell there.
Through this process, the subject constructs a relational style with their body, with others, and with their environment.
In our professional practice, we include the language of the body, using techniques that enable the subject to:
- connect with their own body;- become aware of the record of their history in the body;- recognize the presence of the body in relationships;- resignify bodily messages;- give importance to the messages of the body.

El objetivo de este trabajo es comunicar una elaboración hecha a partir de un encuentro interdisciplinario cuyo eje de reflexión fue el “cuerpo”.
Entendemos al cuerpo como un lugar de resonancia de todas las experiencias del sujeto, que lo van inscribiendo significativamente a lo largo de su vida. Estas inscripciones serán expresadas a través de un lenguaje corporal, que podrá ser abordado desde la salud y/o la enfermedad.
Desde un estado de indefensión e indiferenciación al nacer, el cachorro humano transita un camino que tiene que ver con un sinnúmero de operaciones afectivocorporales, que le permitirán ir habitando el propio cuerpo, irse aposentando allí, llegar a poder alojarse allí.
A través de este recorrido irá construyendo un estilo vincular con su cuerpo, con los otros y con su entorno.
En nuestro quehacer profesional incluimos el lenguaje del cuerpo, utilizando técnicas que posibilitan al sujeto:- Conectarse con su propio cuerpo.- Tomar conciencia del registro de su historia en el cuerpo.- Reconocer la presencia del cuerpo en los vínculos.- Resignificar los mensajes corporales.- Dar importancia a los mensajes del cuerpo.
